Mr. Warren W. Sperry

Paris, Illinois

 

Warren Sperry began his musical career in 1968 in Paris, Illinois. During his 32 years as Director of Fine Arts and the Music Department, he maintained a superlative career. The 280 piece Paris Marching Tiger performed exclusively in the 1972 Presidential Inaugural Parade, five Indianopolis 500 Parades, the Peach Bowl Parade & Competition in Atlanta, the King Orange Bowl Parade in Miami, the 1976 National BiCentiennial Parade in Washington, D.C., the Aloha Bowl in Honolulu, Hawaii, the Cherry Blossom Festival in Washington, D.C., the Nashville Parade of Stars, the Kentucky Derby Parade & Competition and halftime performances for the Chicago Bears, St. Louis Cardinals, Indianapolis Colts, Cincinnati Bengals and the Detroit Lions. Mr. Sperry received his Bachelor and Masters degrees in both music and secondary school administration. Currently an administrator with Mayo Middle School in Paris, Illinois, he remains active as a music lecturer, adjudicator and clinician.
